Filigree™ x2 – Raymond Evison Clematis

Filigree ™ Evipo029(N).  Compact light blue near white clematis, particularly suitable for small-medium containers but also pots, window and hanging baskets. Perhaps slightly taller growing than other plants in the Tudor Patio™ family but in absence of support flowering stems will also trail over the side of containers to good effect. Supplied as two x 18 month old half litre plants (10.5cm pots) pruned down to approximately 3-7cm / 1-3" above soil, overwintered and ready to plant.  Part of the "Guernsey Approved" range of clematis grown on Raymond Evison’s Guernsey Nursery. Clematis Prune Group 2 – These cultivars produce early season bloom on the previous season’s growth and late season flowers on new growth. Generally, these cultivars are only pruned to shape. In the early spring (February or March), prune them lightly above the first pair of new swollen leaf buds, removing about 12 inches from each shoot. Also remove any dead or weak stems at this time.

(Clematis) Filigree™ Clematis, a dwarf clematis, produces an abundance of flowers and it only reaches 12 inches tall! It produces single and semi-double flowers with silvery-blue petals and softly ruffled edges. This dwarf Clematis is exceptionally free-flowering from May through July with an occasional flower into the late summer. Planted in full sun to part shade locations Filigree™ is great for containers or as a mounding ground cover, it pairs beautifully with perennials and shrubs. With excellent disease resistance, Filigree™ can also handle the heat of the summer.
